Here are some of the most intriguing storylines we have seen heading into Week 14.
Arizona Cardinals
We are getting to see both linebackers, for the Cardinals, playing an every-down role now. The news here is Mack Wilson continues in an every-down role, getting 94% of the snap count and rewarding his owners with two sacks and 7 tackles. Kyzir White has routinely been a 100% snap-count player producing still relatively lower totals of just 6 tackles. For different reasons, both can be considered good flex options, just in different leagues. White is playable in shallow formats, while Wilson can be flexed in deeper leagues.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have been sort of a mess this season, playing roulette with its linebacker corps. Much of that remained true this week with the return of Troy Andersen. As expected, Nate Landman’s role is now decreasing as evident in this game with just 37% of the snap count and four tackles. Troy Andersen did nothing (34.8%) but eat away into Landman’s time. Given Anderson’s draft capital and pedigree this team has an over-commitment to stick with him, so it might be a good idea to move on from Landman as it is only a matter of time before those numbers continue to deflate.
One thing that has held true is Kaden Ellis (100%) receiving his own role and wearing the green dot. I’m avoiding both Anderson and Landman as they both continue to vulture each other’s work load. IDP Managers should give each other high fives and praises for tuning in and getting this right while other sites did in fact have this one completely wrong. Kudos for monitoring this.
Baltimore Ravens
Malik Harrison is now your new LB2 over Trenton Simpson, jump on this before your friends and other websites figure this out. Harrison is owned in just 2% of leagues. It wasn’t a big outing for Harrison (68% with two tackles) but snap count alludes to things to come as Trenton Simpson (39% on two tackles) is the rotating LB3 now.

As we all knew this was coming. The big news here is Matt Milano came back to his every-down role-playing outside linebacker and completely replaced Dorian Williams out of lineups. The player to own here is still Terrel Bernard, playing the inside and wearing the green dot communicator. Bernard is tier-one and deserves to be played everywhere versus Milano, who is just a flex for LB3 or greater formats but still holds value in tackle-premium formats.
Carolina Panthers
Josey Jewell continues to be an underrated gem in the IDP community. If you are streaming linebackers, he has been a solid option. Playing as the Panther’s LB1 and having an every-down role, Jewell produced 10 tackles. That will now put him at 71 tackles, 38 solos, 2.5 sacks this season. Try to get Jewell in your lineups from unsuspecting owners. If you are ever stuck surfing for an every down linebacker, consider Jewell who always does the dirty work and gets little recognition for it.
As previously reported, Trevin Wallace played 81% and is a middling flex option now. You could likely do better as other linebackers are commonly out there to stream.
Cincinnati Bengals
Akeem Davis-Gaither is likely an unknown name in your league and IDP circles. He is not unknown to the Bengals, as he is one of their team captains and commands a strong locker-room presence. It took an injury to Logan Wilson, for Davis-Gaither to finally play last week, and he excelled. Wilson was an unexpected sit last game due to his knee and it is being reported now that he just needed rest as it was swollen so expect him back soon. In his absence Gaither performed as if this was an audition for things to come, he was on the field for 99% of snaps and produced 13 tackles. Consider stashing Davis-Gaither in Dynasty IDP leagues this off-season. Germaine Pratt continues to also get every down work, with also 13 tackles.
Cleveland Browns
Since Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah‘s neck injury, this rotation has been somewhat suspect, but it seems to have now worked itself out. Jordan Hicks is your green dot player to own with an every-down role serving as this team’s LB1 with 12 tackles, five of which were solo. The two other linebacker spots that mix in are Mohamoud Diabate, who had four assisted tackles. Devin Bush contributed with 5 tackles as the team’s other linebacker and always seems to be efficient with his usage.
Dallas Cowboys
Kendricks played 100% with 10 tackles and a sack but the news here is Overshown, and he should be a popular waiver pickup. DeMarvion Overshown also had an outstanding game, playing 98% of the snaps while contributing 9 tackles, fumble recovery, and a pick-six.
I mentioned this on the F6P podcast and in my waiver write-up, so I will also share it here: Overshown has 84 tackles on the season, 54 are solos, and 5 sacks.
That puts him 10th in NFC in total tackles, and 8th in NFC solo tackles. Those stats and Overshown’s steady progression are building a strong case for arguably Pro Bowl recognition, and if not for the team’s overall poor performance, more attention might be given his way. He is at least in the debate and building a case with strong weeks like this.
Detroit Lions
Lions LB Ezekiel Turner, was a Safety at Washington (2016-18) and played 76% of his snaps at Free Safety or in the Slot (24% – Box/LOS).

Jack Campbell was the only three-down linebacker for the Lions in Week 13, playing 100% of the snaps and wearing the green dot. However, his tackle production fell short of expectations.
Malcolm Rodriguez played nearly 68.7% snap share before tearing up his ACL, so the team has been scrambling for a valid replacement. As the team brought in veteran leadership (Kwon Alexander, and recently the week before David Long) for overall Veteran depth, there was another player that stepped up to take over Rodriguez’s snaps. In his absence.
Once Rodriguez went down for injury it ended up being Ezekiel Turner taking over for almost every down role. Don’t go reading box snaps as Turner had a mere 32.8% snap count overall usage but ended up playing 16 of the 17 snaps left in the game (94%) so he is clearly the one to own and pick up on waiver.
David Long received 17.9% of snaps, but it was mostly in a backup role.
Houston Texans
Azeez Al-Shaair is likely getting suspended, they are on a bye week this week so might not need to have a sense of urgency. Clever owners should jump on to Neville Hewitt as he has been the direct replacement. Hewitt logged 70% of the snaps. A whopping 49 snaps. If you have room on your team, wait-and-see approach for a few weeks while we see if the suspension happens. Christian Harris is expected to make his debut any game now so another dice roll here. Henry To’o’To’o with 97.1% usage and wore the green dot.
Los Angeles Chargers
What was once a headache to own linebacker corps earlier this season, has shaped up pretty clearly. Daiyan Henley remains an every-down player weekly but it has been anyone’s guess as to who this team’s LB2 is weekly.
Troy Dye emerged as the team’s LB2 perhaps out of necessity, with 76.5% snaps and producing 14 tackles. We will have to see more before proclaiming this production, but I like him better than Perryman and what they have been rolling out here.
Given the fact that we have another week of bye weeks, Junior Colson (IR) and Perryman (Q), out with injuries, I would pick Dye up as dice roll waiver wire this week in deep formats.
Green Bay Packers
Quay Walker remains the every-down linebacker here once again, with 100% of the snaps. The news here is LB2 Isaiah McDuffie stepping up for an LB2 role due to injury, playing 89% and producing 10 tackles (7 solos) and FF. He now has 71 tackles on the season and has proven to this team that he can be trusted. If Edgerrin Cooper remains injured, McDuffie has absolute value and could be played as LB3 in lineups.
