Here are some of the most intriguing storylines we have seen in Week 5.
Arizona Cardinals
As previously reported, Kyzir White is your LB1 everydown role player but Mack Wilson now gets 85% snaps for three straight weeks in a row.
Atlanta Falcons
Look at how JD Bertrand and Kaden Ellis showing blitz and then dropping back leads to Matt Judon being left one on one with Cade Otton despite Atlanta only sending 3 rushers at Tampa's 7 blockers

With Troy Andersen out, we assumed JD Bertrand would have himself a big game, right? Wrong. He played only 72% and produced just five 5 tackles. As previously reported, Kaden Elliss wears your green dot and gets 100% of every down snap, but be careful with his usage as he is more of the pass rusher player on most weeks.
Buffalo Bills
The news here is the return of Terrel Bernard, putting Baylon Spector back to a reserve role. Bernard, wearing the green dot playing 100% of the snaps. Dorian Williams 78% reeled in 11 tackles.
Carolina Panthers
While Josey Jewell was out, Trevin Wallace was used as a green dot in week 5, logged a 100% snap count, and achieved 15 tackles. Claudin Cherelus was the LB2 and got 66% of the snaps, and that will change when Jewell gets back. With this game, Wallace cements himself and becomes an every-down linebacker. The question now becomes who will the Panthers trust as the green dot moving forward? We will monitor this in the next game to see how it unfolds.
Cleveland Browns
The highest-graded Browns in Week 5 vs the Commanders:
🥇 Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah – 90.2
🥈 Winston Reid – 89.7
🥉 Myles Garrett – 74.7
🏅 Devin Bush – 71.7
🏅 Za'Darius Smith – 70.7(min. 25 snaps) pic.twitter.com/laOeWN0W8a

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah once again handled the green dot and every down role, until the last quarter when he rested due to cramping. The news here is that Devin Bush stepped in and wore the dot in JOK’s absence, playing 100% of the snaps at the end of the game. A sneaky waiver wire pickup, If Hicks comes up on the injured report again.
Dallas Cowboys
Thought Overshown had one of his better games in terms of taking on and discarding blocks vs. PIT. An example here. #Cowboys pic.twitter.com/YL5LY7d6wu

Both Eric Kendricks (10 tackles) and DeMarvion Overshown (7 tackles) played 100% of the every-down snaps. This is great news as Mike Zimmer employs two off-ball linebackers and both should be startable in all formats moving forward.
Denver Broncos
We previously reported the two linebackers to know on this team. Cody Barton got his every down role and produced 7 solo tackles. The bigger news is Justin Strnad ended up with nine tackles on a PFF impressive 17.6% tackle rate, 3 percent higher than Roquan Smith. With two weeks straight now of 76% snap share this week, Strnad is someone I am interested in picking up.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Not much to report but an observation. As expected, Devin Lloyd returned from injuries and became the LB1 (97% snaps) Chad Muma and Ventrell Miller rotated in. What was noticeable during the game was Muma was held out during the fourth quarter and got his playing time significantly reduced in this game (45%); it’s looking like he is LB4 now once Oluokun returns. For deeper leagues, I would be looking quickly to trade Muma on name values before news of this breaks out.
Miami Dolphins
Jordyn Brooks was the only player to log 100% snap count. As anticipated, David Long returned but split time with Anthony Walker. Since they are going into a bye week this week, it can be assumed they were taking it easy to avoid injuries.
New Orleans Saints
Injuries have plagued this team. We saw in week 4 Demario Davis get hurt and D’Marco Jackson step right on in. Well with Pete Werner out for week 5 were we to see the same thing?
Nope, it was Anfernee Orji out of nowhere and grabbed an 86% share of snaps. I don’t expect any of these guys to be relevant (even in the deepest of leagues) as they come with unpredictability. Stability out of this unit is a question until Davis and Werner are back as a duo.
Pittsburgh Steelers
As predicted, Payton Wilson is the LB2 and has beaten out Elandon Roberts. Patrick Queen gets 100% snaps as your LB1.
Seattle Seahawks
Jerome Baker returns from injury, getting his 100% every down role back. He finished with 14 tackles and one sack. This is frustrating for Tyrice Knight truthers, as he went back to the bench. Tyrel Dodson is your LB1 and achieved 9 tackles and a sack. These two will have this role moving forward.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
We already covered this one last week, but with SirVocea Dennis hurt K.J. Britt became an every-down player again (despite being targeted in pass coverage and a major liability) and logged 93% of the snaps. It will be interesting to see how much that changes with Winfield coming back from injury and how they plan to deploy him.
