Here are some of the stats that jumped out, and my initial thoughts from watching games during week one:
Arizona Cardinals
Looking solely at Mack Wilson in this contest, who had nine tackles on 63% snap usage. He also had a 24% tackle rate which would make him a tremendous pickup (just not in shallow leagues). Consider Wilson as one of your later flex options, he would be considered a sleeper except we told you about him in our podcast.
Early week one waivers:

Carolina Panthers
Shaq Thompson became an every-down linebacker again, despite signs of the contrary. As the numbers this week indicated expect both Thompson and Jewell to have an adequate role.
#FFIDP – Carolina Panthers linebackers in Week 1:
66 defensive snaps
Shaq Thompson was actually the lone every-down linebacker, after Josey Jewell wore the dot in the preseason.
Didn't end up being a huge difference in snap share, luckily. They will just be flipped in rankings… pic.twitter.com/xn4WtUjA40

Cleveland Browns
JOK (Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah) finally broke out with 100% snaps, and Jordan Hicks was relevant with 71% This is indicative of how we see those roles reversing moving forward.
Dallas Cowboys
As it was already reported Eric Kendricks had a spectacular day, with nine tackles and one interception. With only 67% snap share, the stat line does not tell the whole story as he sat out during garbage stat time.
Expect Eric Kendricks a linebacker to have played every down. Those who listened to the podcast this season, correctly deduced that it is DeMarvion Overshown playing the WILL and starting over Damone Clark (SAM role now) as the defacto LB2.
LB Eric Kendricks missed some snaps due to cramps and played 67% as a result but he stuffed the stat sheet with 9 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT, 1 TFL, 1 PD https://t.co/a4Cl3a55Oa

Denver Broncos
Another unknown waiver claim you could try this week is LB3 Kristian Welch as he was credited with a 25% snap share. Only worth mentioning in the deepest of deep leagues.
Detroit Lions
No, it was not Jack Campbell who wore the dot but Alex Anzalone yet again as predicated by their snap usage this week. The Jack Campbell hype did not happen. We also seen Derrick Barnes fill in for the smaller role.
Los Angeles Rams
It was all Troy Reeder with 100% for those who read our breakout article, congrats because you bet on the right horse! What is also interesting here is that Christian Rozeboom was the other guy here to own, his profile has always been a guy who has to come out during passing downs which would explain his 70% + snap share. All the more reason to invest in Reeder at least in the short term and is a waiver wire pickup if you could still get him.
Miami Dolphins
Both Jordyn Brooks and David Long played all 53 snaps cementing themselves as every down snap volume IDP assets now. This is more of a statement on how this new defense will play moving forward. Gone are the days of the “Fangio seven” where players played deep and only gave value to one linebacker, these two schemes will feature two every-down linebackers. Which is good news for David Long (8 tackles) owners.
Minnesota Vikings
If you listen to the podcast, this is exactly the way we thought it would play out as well (see a trend here) As both linebackers sort of cannibalized each other’s production value, it was Blake Cashman getting 89% snaps with 8 tackles. Ivan Pace had five tackles on 55% snaps and is a sell candidate for me. Pace also came out on third downs, so I see his stock declining.
New York Giants
Micah McFadden was recovering from injury, so unknown Darius Muasau came in for an insane 82% snap count. I guess he’s a waiver wire pickup in the deepest of deep leagues but expecting McFadden to take that role back once fully recovered.
Philadelphia Eagles
The story here is Zack Baun‘s 15 tackles and two sack performances on 67 snaps (100%) usage. I hope you listened to my F6P podcast 20:54 where I elevated my thoughts on this player. Let’s not write off Nakobe Dean just yet. Despite a subpar performance, he still recorded four tackles and narrowly missed an interception. His usage was notable, logging 64 snaps for a 96% snap share. This indicates that the Eagles’ LB2 role remains valuable, and Dean is expected to maintain a significant role moving forward.
Tennessee Titans
As we all assumed Ernest Jones to regress, Kenneth Murray stepped up and took the green dot duties for week one. Murray played every single snap. Jack Gibbens and Ernest Jones rotated in. This is normal considering the Rams and Titans concepts are greatly different. Expecting this to change as the season moves forward, Ernest Jones is still learning the playbook. For Dynasty owners, this is a dynamic you could certainly exploit as these evolve this season.
