IDP Waiver Wire for Week 10

The fantasy football regular season is quickly coming to an end. We only have one more month to make a push for the playoffs. Every game matters at this point, and there is little room for error. There’s always a reason to stick with the grind and scour the waiver wire to either strengthen the depth of a contending team or find players that can change a team’s fortunes.

As always, we’ll hit every position group: linebackers, edge rushers, defensive tackles, and defensive backs, with recommendations tailored for all league formats. Ownership percentages (in parentheses) come from Sleeper, production is measured using IDP123 scoring, and only players rostered in under 30% of leagues make the list.

Linebackers (LB)

The options at linebacker are definitely thinner this week. A lot of intriguing players like Logan Wilson (traded to Dallas) and Tyrice Knight (Ernest Jones’ injury) are rostered in more than 30% of Sleeper leagues. If you’re hurting at the position and need a short-term starter, Washington’s Jordan Magee (7%) will likely earn a start with Frankie Luvu suspended for Week 10. Cleveland’s Mohamoud Diabate (8%) could step in for rookie LB Carson Schwesinger if he remains sidelined with a high ankle injury.

Drake Thomas (SEA 17%), Devin Bush (CLE), Jordan Magee (WSH), Mohamoud Diabate (CLE), Ventrell Miller (JAX), Tyrice Knight (SEA)

Other options: Trevin Wallace (26%), Panthers; Akeem Davis-Gaither (25%), Cardinals; Eric Wilson (23%), Vikings; Matt Milano (20%), Bills; Denzel Perryman (9%), Chargers; Jack Gibbens (8%), Patriots; and Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (2%), Giants.

Defensive Linemen (DL)

There has been a flurry of activity as we near the NFL trade deadline. One of those deals involved the Dolphins sending edge rusher Jaelan Phillips (25%) to the Eagles for a 2026 third-round pick. He finished his last game with Miami by posting a stat line of four tackles (three solo) and a sack. Averaging over 80% of snaps in recent weeks, Phillips has been frequently featured in the column. The move to Philadelphia makes him a priority addition this week, as he should see a significant role in Vic Fangio’s defense.

If you’re in a deeper league, Dre’Mont Jones (9%) is worth targeting. The Titans traded him to the Ravens for a conditional fifth-round pick on Monday. He’s riding a four-game sack streak and will slot into a depleted Baltimore pass rush rotation. His former Tennessee teammate, Jihad Ward (3%), is also deserving of consideration. He delivered four tackles (two solo) and 2.5 sacks on an 88% snap share against the Chargers. His high volume of opportunities will likely continue, as the Titans now have even less depth at the position.

Other options: Chase Young (23%), Saints; Jermaine Johnson (22%), Jets; Odafe Oweh (21%), Chargers; K’Lavon Chaisson (10%), Patriots; Jalyx Hunt (9%), Eagles; Alex Wright (8%), Browns; Jacob Martin (6%), Commanders; and Sam Okuayinyonu (3%), 49ers.

DT options: Byron Murphy II (29%), Seahawks; Jonah Laulu (11%), Raiders; Devonte Wyatt (10%), Packers; Calais Campbell (8%), Cardinals; Jalen Redmond (7%), Vikings; Keanu Benton (6%), Steelers; Moro Ojomo (6%), Eagles; and Rakeem Nunez-Roches (3%), Giants.

The options at linebacker are definitely thinner this week. A lot of intriguing players like Logan Wilson (traded to Dallas) and Tyrice Knight (Ernest Jones’ injury) are rostered in more than 30% of Sleeper leagues. Defensive Backs (DB)

There are a ton of defensive backs out there for both three and five-position leagues. For those in CB-required formats, Houston’s Kamari Lassiter (24%) remains on a tear. I highlighted him in last week’s article, and he followed up with a nine-tackle (six solo) performance against the Broncos in Week 9. Chicago’s Nahshon Wright (13%) saw nine targets versus the Bengals and turned that opportunity into four tackles (two solo), two pass deflections, and an interception. He is ranked fifth amongst scoring in IDP123 for CBs. Arizona nickel back Garrett Williams (5%) returned from injury and logged 81% of defensive snaps and four tackles (three solo) and a forced fumble.

As far as safeties, Cincinnati’s Geno Stone (21%) is a top 10 fantasy asset. He didn’t play as much in the box this week, but still racked up seven tackles (four solo). The Dolphins didn’t have their usual starters in the secondary and turned to rookie Dante Trader (3%). He managed 13 total tackles (eight solo) and could be a decent deep league start next week if Ashtyn Davis misses more time. Pittsburgh’s Kyle Dugger (22%) filled in for DeShon Elliott and likely offers IDP value for fantasy teams.

Other options: Isaiah Pola-Mao (26%), Raiders; Harrison Smith (25%), Vikings; Cole Bishop (23%), Bills; C.J. Gardner-Johnson (19%), Bears; Alohi Gilman (17%), Ravens; Amani Hooker (16%), Titans; Malik Mustapha (13%), 49ers; Jonas Sanker (13%), Saints; Andrew Wingard (13%), Jaguars; Ronnie Hickman (9%), Browns; Jeremy Reaves (6%), Commanders; Ty Okada (5%), Seahawks; and Cam Lewis (3%), Bills.

CB options: Dax Hill (24%), Bengals; Marlon Humphrey (24%), Ravens; Kool-Aid McKinstry (21%), Saints; Joey Porter Jr. (15%), Steelers; Jaylon Jones (14%), Colts; Mekhi Blackmon (11%), Colts; Mike Jackson (9%), Panthers; and Emmanuel Forbes (4%), Rams.
