IDP Waiver Wire for Week 11
There are plenty of solid IDP options to add to your team in this week’s waivers article. Whether you are in a small, big, or unique format, there’s a name in here that will make your fantasy roster better! I appreciate all of you for continuing to check out our work at RPO and hope that you’re all closing in on playoff spots in your leagues.
The numbers in parentheses next to the player’s name represent their ownership on Sleeper. Any scoring references will be in the IDP123 system.
Defensive Line
For the folks in defensive tackle-required leagues, Colts’ DT Grover Stewart (3%) is a must-target after another fantastic performance in Week 10 versus Buffalo. He grabbed eight tackles (four solo) and one sack. That follows his monstrous two sack demolition of the Vikings in the previous game. Stewart has not secured less than four tackles in a contest since Week 4. That’s a solid IDP floor to go with some pass rush upside.
I’d add Nik Bonitto (3%) if he’s available in splash play leagues. Those are leagues where sacks and turnovers are greatly rewarded. He scored a sack in six consecutive games up until Week 9. Bonitto restarted it by bringing down Patrick Mahomes in Arrowhead this past Sunday. I’m not a fan of his playtime as he sometimes is on the field for less than 50% of defensive snaps. However, the efficiency is off the charts and based on this season, he’s earned our trust as a IDP flex.
Other options: Bud Dupree (2%), Chargers; Josh Paschal (<1%), Lions; and Calais Campbell (2%), Dolphins
Linebackers
Falcons’ linebacker Nate Landman (3%) looked to be in danger of losing snaps with the return of Troy Andersen; however, a re-aggravation of Andersen’s knee injury ruled him out of the Saints game. Landman made eight tackles (six solo) and will continue to be a solid start if Andersen misses more time.
De’Vondre Campbell (24%) posted seven tackles (four solo) in Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. He played 100% of snaps and likely will continue full-time in the role. Kyle Shanahan also announced that Dre Greenlaw will not be activated from PUP this week. If you are in need of a LB3/Flex IDP starter, Campbell would adequately fill that spot.
Seattle cut Tyrel Dodson on Monday in a surprise roster move. He was never guaranteed to lock down the role long-term as he only signed with the Seahawks on a one-year deal. This news means that rookie Tyrice Knight will likely take over the starting role next to recently-acquired Ernest Jones for the rest of the season. He performed well by IDP standards when he started in place of Jerome Baker earlier in the season. Knight is the linebacker I’m prioritizing for this week’s waiver run.
Other options: Omar Speights (2%), Rams; and Anthony Walker (12%), Dolphins
Defensive Backs
If you are in a shallower IDP league and could use a defensive back starter, Broncos’ safety Brandon Jones (37%) is worth picking up. He’s playing almost 100% of the snaps on a weekly-basis and consistently posting tackles. Jones finished Week 10 with nine tackles (seven solo). The only downside is that he hasn’t produced many turnovers.
Interceptions aren’t exactly a stat that we can rely on, but Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy (21%) has one in each of the last three games. He has Tennessee and Chicago on the schedule next, so there’s optimism the turnover streak continues. I’d claim and consider starting him in CB-required leagues depending on roster settings.
While I was initially concerned with Jeremy Chinn’s (36%) role in Washington, he is now locked and loaded with 100% snap shares in the past two games. He secured 12 tackles in both Week 9 and 10. He also recorded an interception and recovered a fumble against the Steelers on Sunday. We ride the hot hand in secondary starts and I have no reason not to recommend that in this case.
Other options: Garrett Williams (<1%), Cardinals; Mike Sainristil (2%), Commanders; and Carlton Davis (14%), Lions
