IDP Waiver Wire for Week 2

IDP Waiver Wire for Week 2

If you are looking for defensive players to upgrade your roster, check out my list of IDP Waiver Wire additions for week 2. These recommendations are based on a 12-team league with an IDP123 scoring system, but I will also add a few names for deeper leagues.

Defensive Linemen

Denico Autry – Autry has been a very a consistent name since arrived on Tennessee and also a very underrated player. Last season he recorded 8 sacks playing without Harold Landry or Jeffery Simmons many games. According to Sleeper, he is rostered 0% so he should be available in most leagues. Autry was very disruptive to start the season as he recorded 1.5 sacks, 4 QB hits, 1 TFL and 5 combined tackles. The Titans now will play against Chargers and Bengals the next two weeks, both teams that allowed pressures and sacks from interior defensive linemen.

Other options to consider: Drake Jackson, Carl Granderson, Jonathan Allen, Jonathan Greenard and Yannick Ngakoue.
Options for deeper leagues: Arden Key and Justin Madubuike.

Linebackers

Ivan Pace – this undrafted rookie, which was expected to be a rotational player, surprised everyone when he was beside Jordan Hicks, playing 68% of the snaps. Another 0% rostered player, which has 8 combined tackles and 1 QB hit. Brian Flores is a DC that use a lot of two linebacker schemes and that makes Pace a very interesting name to grab.

Other options to consider: Denzel Perryman, Kwon Alexander and Jack Gibbens .
Options for sack heavy leagues: Dennis Gardeck and Anthony Nelson.
Options for deeper leagues: E.J. Speed and Christian Elliss

Defensive Backs

Nate Hobbs – I know cornerback and fantasy is usually not the combination that everyone likes, but Hobbs has been very consistent since last season. Speaking of a fantasy, Hobbs had a dream start to the season with 94% of the snaps and 12 combined tackles, 2 tackle-for-loss, 1 QB hit and a 22% tackle rate. The Raiders will face teams that pass a lot in the next few games, and we should see some good production for Hobbs as a result.

Other options to consider: Justin Reid, Amani Hooker, Andre Cisco and Alohi Gilman.
Options for deeper leagues: Tyson Campbell, Rasul Douglas and Ar’Darius Washington.
