Waiver Wire Adds for Offense – Week 12
Welcome back fellow fantasy football fanatic, to yet another waiver wire article and a Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. Can you guys believe it’s already Week 12? Before you know it everyone in your leagues will turn from friend to enemy come fantasy playoffs! Week 11 was certainly a harrowing one, we saw everyone’s fantasy darling Joe Burrow go down for the season, Cooper Kupp and De’Von Achane re-injure themselves, and even more elite wide receivers fall to lack of great quarterback play. Let’s look at a few players and even a potential league winner to help you combat these shortcomings.
Zach Charbonnet SEA RB Rostered: 51%
Run don’t walk to your waiver wire and get your claim in for Charbonnet, Kenneth Walker suffered an oblique injury, at this moment it’s still up in the air if he’ll hit the IR, but it’s not going to stop me from adding Charbonnet in a run heavy offense. He already averages just under 5 yards per carry and will be taking on Walkers typical workload which should be around 15-19 carries. On top of that, he’s also lethal in the receiving game with 10 catches in the last 2 games. Even if Walker misses the IR, Charbonnet could help you push for playoffs and serve as an RB2.
Isaiah Likely BAL TE Rostered: 5%
I feel like the Tight End position is such a revolving door if you didn’t draft one of the top 4 at the position. Mark Andrews hurts his ankle this week, and although Likely won’t be able to completely fill his shoes, he should see plenty of targets. The Ravens lack a true alpha to throw to, meaning Likely will get plenty of opportunities and even a few chances to get into the end zone. It’s worth noting that during Andrews’ absence last year, Likely was a backend TE1. You can’t ask for much more from a tight end off of the waivers.
Odell Beckham Jr. BAL WR Rostered: 41%
Who would have thought that OBJ would have been an addable asset in 2023? For sure not me, but 3 straight games over 10 points in PPR and 2 touchdowns in 3 games AND losing their #1 target in the offense? Sounds to me like it’s time to feel comfortable adding Beckham as a solid wide receiver going forward. We know how explosive he is as a wide receiver with the ball in his hands, dating back to his days with the Giants. Look for Beckham to continue to have a positive outlook going forward.
Elijah Moore CLE WR Rostered: 47%
Elijah Moore has been trying to creep onto my waiver wire for a few weeks now but he’s finally strung together a few good games. He’s gotten over 7 targets in 6 out of 9 games played this year and although he struggles to do much with them early on, if you play fantasy, you know volume is king. With Deshaun Watson out for the season, Moore’s production may be limited but if you’re rough at the wide receiver position, he seems to be a consistent target in the Cleveland offense.
Thank you for tuning in to another waiver wire segment. As always let’s go get some Ws this week!
