IDP Waiver Wire for Week 16

IDP Waiver Wire for Week 16

If you are looking for defensive players to upgrade your roster, check out my list of IDP Waiver Wire additions for week 16. These recommendations are based on a 12-team league with an IDP123 scoring system, but I will also add a few names for deeper leagues. The final is one step away and if your IDP players have a bad matchup, maybe be bold is a great alternative.

Defensive Linemen

Bryce Huff (edge – NYJ): If he is available in your league, something is wrong, nonetheless, according to Sleeper, he is rostered 0% ! Huff is in the final year of his contract and he is showing all the tools to get a huge contract in free agency. He is currently a very important piece on this strong Jets rotation, Huff is top 20 in pressures in the entire league and has 8.5 sacks. This week, he is a very interesting name to add, especially with the matchup against the Commanders. I expect a bombardment of sacks in the Commanders and Jets game as we have the second and third most sacked teams squaring off against each other.

Additional options: K.J. Henry, Josh Sweat and Kenny Clark.

Linebackers

Khaleke Hudson (ILB – WAS): Hudson is a player that I’ve been monitoring since last season and I added him in a few deep leagues. In my opinion, he is the most talented inside linebacker in this poor room. However, the Commanders staff don’t think the same. He only received a chance to play when Jamin Davis got injured and went to the injured reserve. I didn’t put him as my first name to add last week, because there was a chance that Washington started David Mayo besides Barton, but that never came to fruition. Hudson grabbed the chance and recorded an impressive 14 tackles in that game. This week he will be facing the Jets, a team that doesn’t allow a lot of tackles to linebackers, but I expect the Jets defensive line to force a lot of turnovers and sacks, giving plenty of time for the Jets’ offense to control the clock.

Additional options: E.J. Speed and Micah McFadden.

Defensive Backs

Josh Metellus (S – MIN): Metellus has been the Swiss army knife on this Brian Flores defense. Rostered only 7%, according to Sleeper, he is tied for first among defensive backs in sacks, third in forced fumbles and Top 10 in tackles. This week, he will be facing Detroit, a Top 5 team in allowing tackles to safeties and a team that allows a lot of tackles to linebackers, another position that Metellus occasionally plays when not lining up as a safety.

Additional options: Ji’Ayir Brown, Nate Hobbs and Alontae Taylor.
