Waiver Wire Adds for Offense – Week 16

Waiver Wire Adds for Offense – Week 16

Ryan Odell and Stephen Chalmers

Welcome back to another waiver wire article! As these are coming to a close next week, I really hope we got to help a few of you out this season, it’s the only reason we do this! That being said, fantasy football is coming to a close much faster than I could have anticipated so let’s enjoy this while we can, semifinals or playing for last place. Good luck too you all! Now here’s a few players we think that can help you close out your season!

Ty Chandler MIN RB Rostered: 56%

We typically go for less than 50% ownership but if Chandler is still out there, he’s a must add. We first saw flashes of him back in week 11 against the Broncos when we saw over 100 all-purpose yards. He just exploded for over 150 this past week. While he has been behind Mattison most of the season, he’s looked better and head coach Kevin O’Connell has taken notice. Chandler has earned a larger role in this offense, meaning even with Mattison return he could continue his high production.

Noah Brown HOU WR Rostered: 47%

This will be Noah Brown‘s third time on our waivers, and I will continue to preach about him. I’ve stated this many times via podcasts and articles, give me all weapons linked to C.J. Stroud as he should be back from concussion protocol. He elevates those around him, and we’ve already seen Brown go nuclear during Nico Collins‘ absence and now we’re missing Tank Dell. Even without Stroud we saw him get 11 targets for 8 catches, 82 yards and a score. Noah Brown should continue to shine in this offense.

Curtis Samuel WAS WR Rostered: 48%

The Commanders draw the Jets this week and although they’ll face a tough matchup again Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed, it leaves the slot open for Curtis Samuel to continue what he’s done. In the past 3 weeks we’ve seen him go over 200 yards and 2 TDs. Howell has prioritized Samuel over Dotson since week 10, so I feel comfortable with him this week despite the fact he might not score a touchdown. But Samuel should have a healthy target share.

Hunter Henry NE TE Rostered: 20%

In the past two weeks, Bailey Zappe seems to have found confidence in Hunter Henry as his go-to red zone guy, scoring 3 times. This week, the Patriots draw the Denver Broncos who make Henry even juicier as they have allowed the most points to tight ends in the league. If you have been streaming tight ends in a couple leagues, like I have, Henry is the one to have this week!

Josh Palmer LAC WR Rostered: 40%

I know, I know, a Chargers wide receiver with no Herbert? Easton Stick has looked pretty rough from what we’ve seen so far but this also allows a lot of opportunity for these Chargers wide receivers to get targets. Most of Palmer’s 113 yards came from one play for a 79-yard score, which is concerning, but Palmer has always been their deep threat guy. Palmer can still be productive in this offense, even in garbage time.

HM Trey Sermon IND RB: Rostered 0%

Zack Moss went down with an arm injury last week, which opened up a window for Sermon, and he fared well leading the team with 88 rushing yards. Uf you need a running back, add Sermon and hope, but keep an eye on Jonathan Taylor‘s Week 16 status.

Thank you for stopping by! Good luck in your playoff matchups and let’s chase some Ws!
