Waiver Wire Adds for Offense – Week 10

Waiver Wire Adds for Offense – Week 10

It’s Stephen Chalmers and Ryan Odell and we are back again with this week’s edition of our waiver wire article. Another week and another starting quarterback down with a major injury (Daniel Jones). This year is the worst I’ve seen with injuries in a long time.

Keaton Mitchell, RB, BAL

It’s hard to recommend Mitchell as a bench stash when Gus Edwards has six rushing touchdowns in the last three games and has been the bell cow for this rushing attack, but his 9 carries in Week 9 were impressive. He showed a juice and extra gear that Gus at this point doesn’t have. If he gets more involved in the offense from this point on, he’s worth a stash. There is uncertainty in how many touches Mitchell will be given in meaningful situations later on in the season, but I’m willing to take a shot on him.

Leonard Fournette, RB, BUF

This isn’t a recommendation because I think we’ll see 2022 “Lenny”, it’s because James Cook has been that bad; especially in pass protection. Once Fournette gets up to speed, I do see him earning a significant role moving forward on this Bills team. This may be the last week to pick up Fournette.

Taylor Heinicke, QB, ATL

If you play in a Superflex league and you need quarterback help, here’s the answer, Taylor Heinicke. Desmond Ridder just wasn’t cutting it. 7 turnovers in his last three starts and he got benched at halftime in week 8. I will say that for sitting all year until the second half of week 8 and getting his first start in week 9, he looked decent. 21/38 for 268 yards and one touchdown and one interception. Heavy involvement for Jonnu Smith and Kyle Pitts. Heinicke’s a QB2 with upside in some weaker matchups going forward. He has the weapons to thrive. He just needs the passing volume.

Tommy DeVito, QB, NYG

This is more of a stretch pickup if you need quarterback help in Superflex leagues. Danny Dimes goes down with a non-contact ACL injury. Now here’s Tommy Devito. This Giants team is bad, outside of Saquon Barkley, but a starting QB is a starting QB. If you miss out on Heinicke, Devito is the next best pickup.

Thank you for checking out our week 10 waiver wire article. Hoping these pickups can help you later on in the year and lastly let’s go get some Wins in your fantasy leagues!
